GETTING TO DUBROVNIK
By plane
The Dubrovnik International Airport is well connected to many major cities of the world, either directly or by the international airports in Zagreb and Split.
Regular bus service by Platanus Travel buses runs from the airport to the central bus station in Gruž. Buses depart after each scheduled flight arrival, and the ticket costs 8,65 EUR. The drive takes about 30 minutes. On the way buses stop at Pile (at the entrance into the Old City), from where you can take a local city bus (line 6) to the Conference venue.
Buses heading for the airport leave from the central bus station 90 minutes before scheduled Croatia Airlines or Austrian Airlines flight departures, and 120 minutes before scheduled departures of other airlines. They also make one stop near the Old City, next to the cable car station.
You can also take a taxi from the airport (cost €40 approximately).

By bus
Inter-city buses arrive at the central bus station in Gruž. From there you can take city bus lines 1a, 1b or 3 to Pile stop (Old City), from where the bus line 6 takes you to the Conference venue, University of Dubrovnik, Department of Economics and Business Economics.

Local transport Pile (Old City) is also the main stop for Libertas city buses. Line 6 will take you straight to the Conference venue. City bus tickets are 1,72 EUR if bought at stalls (there is a clearly marked orange stall at Pile) and 1,99 EUR if bought directly on the bus. If you buy the ticket on the bus, exact small change is expected. You can also buy city bus tickets at newspaper vendors, hotels and tourist agencies.

ADDITIONALLY, AN IMPORTANT NOTICE IN CASE THAT YOU NEED A VISA FOR CROATIA!!!
In order to get a visa for Croatia you should contact the nearest Diplomatic Mission or Consular Office of Croatia. They will provide all necessary information. In order to get visa requirements overview, you need to go to the web site www.mfa.hr, where you can get necessary information in English.
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to send an individual invitation letter from our side. Instead, a joint list of all accepted participants will be sent to the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In order to speed up the procedure of getting a visa, an accompanying letter regarding the auspices together with the list of participants who require visa will be sent to the Croatian embassies worldwide via Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thus, the Legal Person’s Letter of Guarantee Form will not be needed. For that reason, you should send us (to our contact person: info@diem-dubrovnik.com) the following data:
- date and place of birth, nationality, passport number, place of issue and validity of travel documents
- duration of your stay in Croatia
- your accommodation in Croatia.
